5280 Magazine has named Pearl Dentistry as a Top Dentist in Denver and Colorado for 2017! Dr. Jayme Glamm, Dr. Stefanie Walker, and our entire team are very excited and flattered. 5280 Magazine gives out these awards every year and we’re proud to be on it yet again! Want to know how we did it? Read on to learn more about the award itself, and how we intend to keep winning it in 2018 and beyond.
How We Were Selected
The best part about 5280’s Top Dentist awards are that they are actually chosen by other dentists! An organization called topDentists asks all of the dentists in Colorado a very specific question, “If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which one would you refer him or her to?” This is no small task as there are more than 800 dentists and specialists (oral surgeons, orthodontists, periodontists, etc.) in Colorado! They take all of these answers and tally them up to determine who will be on 5280’s list each year. We’re thrilled to be on both the Denver and Colorado lists this time around. It’s very heart-warming to know that so many of our colleagues thought of us. It’s just one of the small ways that we know we’re doing things right at Pearl Dentistry. What made them pick us? Respondents are asked to consider a few key factors:
- Continuing Education
- Use of New Techniques and Technologies
- Physical Results
Dr. Glamm and Dr. Walker received their dental degrees in 2007 and 2006 respectively and started Pearl Dentistry in 2011. In that time, they’ve used their considerable knowledge and training to take a comprehensive approach to dentistry, providing a wide range of services and always considering the overall health of a patient with every treatment. Whether you need a general, restorative, or cosmetic dentist in Denver, they’ll have exactly what you need to achieve a beautiful smile.
Continuing education programs enable a dentist to both refine and add to their skill set. Each state requires their dentists to take a minimum amount of hours each year, but doctors like Dr. Glamm and Dr. Walker always greatly surpass those minimums. Not only do they take extra hours, they also do it at two of the most prestigious institutes in the country: The Dawson Academy of Continuing Education and Spear Dental Education.
Use of New Technology and Techniques
In addition to constantly learning, we frequently update our equipment at Pearl Dentistry to stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry. We use digital x-rays that take less time and expose our patients (and us!) to 80% less radiation than traditional ones, and we offer a variety of sedation techniques to help our most nervous patients enjoy a pleasant and calm dental experience.
Plus, our team is currently training to use the Trio Digital Scanner to take our dental impressions. With it, you won’t ever have to bite into cold dental putty ever again! Not only is this device much more comfortable for our patients, it also creates a much better model of the teeth, which leads to a higher quality of care.
We are also planning on adding the Gemini 810 + 980 diode laser to our practice. This is the first duel-wavelength soft tissue laser available in the United States, and it will allow us to perform a number of dental procedures (both restorative and cosmetic) faster and safer while minimizing your discomfort and shortening your recovery time.
Everything comes down to how well our patients’ teeth function and how confident they feel about their smiles. We believe our results speak for themselves. We have the education, training, and the experience to help them achieve a wonderful smile they’ll be eager to show off for years to come.
